Disney Adds New Pricing System

Here’s another way that Disney hopes to reel in more of its visitors money.  Starting October 16, 2018, Disney World will be using a tier-based ticket pricing system where ticket prices range from $109 to $129.  Of course, the $129 price will be for the more popular times of the year to visit Disney, such at Christmas, February Vacations, Spring Break and Summertime.  Disney claims that this is to motivate visitors to come during the slower times and save on ticket prices. “These changes are designed to simplify the booking…

Toy Story Land Opening Day Announced

The long awaited announcement for the opening day of the newest land “Toy Story Land” in Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios was made in New York City this morning. The large construction project is 1 on 2 major expansions currently underway within Hollywood Studios.  The other, which is “Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge” is expected to open to visitors sometime during late Spring or Early Summer of 2019. Maleficent 2 Starts Filming in April, 2018

Angelina Jolie will begin filming of Maleficent 2 in April of 2018. Linda Woolverton, who wrote the original Maleficent, was rumored to have written the first draft of the sequel script but it now looks as though Jez Butterworth will be doing the rewrite. Is Disney Closing the Magic Kingdom/Epcot Monorail

After the most recent, well publicized, incident on the Walt Disney World Monorail with a door opening during transport on the RED monorail between Magic Kingdom and Epcot, rumors are swirling that Disney is contemplating closing down the Walt Disney Monorail system. Epcot International Festival of Arts 2018

The 2nd annual “Epcot International Festival of Arts” opened today (January 12, 2018) at Disney’s Epcot. The festival includes Art Galleries, Performances, Food Kiosks and more. This year’s festival focuses more on Disney Art more than last year. The “Epcot International Festival of Arts” runs from today through February 19, 2018. Disney Broadway Series Performances will be 5:30 p.m., 6:45 p.m. and 8 p.m. Friday through Monday of each festival weekend. Disney World to Offer Extra FastPass+ Services to Certain Guests

There have been rumblings over a rumored plan to allow certain guests to acquire extra FastPass+ Services. The current information is that guests staying in “Club-Level” rooms at certain resorts with have the ability to be able to purchase a package that will allow them three (3) additional FastPasses per day and they will also be allowed to make their FastPass reservations 90 days before their visit, compared to the standard 60 days for all other Walt Disney World Resort Guests. Children’s Activities Centers Closing at Disney World

It has been released that the Walt Disney World Resorts will be closing down three Children’s Activities Centers on it’s property.  The three centers closing are at the Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts. Monorail Doors Fail to Close

When on Disney World’s Monorail and you hear “Por Favor Mantengase Alejado De Las Puertas” which is Spanish for “Please Stay Away From The Doors”, I guess they really mean it. Video and images are circulating of a Disney World Monorail Red car’s door staying open for the entire ride from TTA to the Magic Kingdom Station. New Theatre Coming to Disney World

A new theatre is coming to Disney World on Main Street USA in the Magic Kingdom.  The unnamed theatre will be built on land that is currently used for Disney Magic Kingdom Employee parking. The theatre is to be designed to be in the style of other buildings on Main Street USA, which was emulated from Main Street in 1901 Marceline, MO (Walt Disney’s hometown).  It is to be built in the style of historic Willis Wood Theatre in Kansas City, MO (1902-1917).
