New Theatre Coming to Disney World

A new theatre is coming to Disney World on Main Street USA in the Magic Kingdom.  The unnamed theatre will be built on land that is currently used for Disney Magic Kingdom Employee parking. Monorail service at the Magic Kingdom, Epcot and loop resorts was suspended on June 16, 2017 after a piece of Monorail Blue broke or fell off of the tram causing it to spark and slow to a halt.  The train had just left the Epcot Station and was heading toward the Magic Kingdom when this incident happened.  None of the passengers aboard were injured.  Reedy Creek Fire Department was dispatched to the scene and the area was shut down to visitors as Park Authorities and the Fire Department evacuated the…

Rumors are swirling that the Great Movie Ride which is inside of Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Disney’s Hollywood Studios could be closing in the very near future. Disney Springs Now Offering Preferred Parking

On June 1, preferred parking became available at Disney Springs Grapefruit and Lemon lots for $10.  Both lots are surface lots and, as of now, the parking garages are still free parking and valet parking is available in the West End near the Orange Garage for $20, plus gratuity. Disney Springs Wolfgang Puck’s Grand Cafe Closing

Wolfgang Puck’s Grand Cafe is closing their restaurant located in Disney Springs.  The restaurant is owned and operated by Chicago-based Levy Restaurants and is located in the Westend Section of Disney Springs. A new Wolfgang Puck restaurant is currently under construction in the Town Square section of Disney Springs, but does not have a opening date scheduled. With the restaurant closing, 193 employees will be laid-off or offered open positions in other local Levy restaurants in the area, including the Amway Center in downtown Orlando.
