Toy Story Land Opening Day Announced

The long awaited announcement for the opening day of the newest land “Toy Story Land” in Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios was made in New York City this morning. Disney World to Offer Extra FastPass+ Services to Certain Guests

There have been rumblings over a rumored plan to allow certain guests to acquire extra FastPass+ Services. The current information is that guests staying in “Club-Level” rooms at certain resorts with have the ability to be able to purchase a package that will allow them three (3) additional FastPasses per day and they will also be allowed to make their FastPass reservations 90 days before their visit, compared to the standard 60 days for all other Walt Disney World Resort Guests. Monorail service at the Magic Kingdom, Epcot and loop resorts was suspended on June 16, 2017 after a piece of Monorail Blue broke or fell off of the tram causing it to spark and slow to a halt.  The train had just left the Epcot Station and was heading toward the Magic Kingdom when this incident happened.  None of the passengers aboard were injured.  Reedy Creek Fire Department was dispatched to the scene and the area was shut down to visitors as Park Authorities and the Fire Department evacuated the…

Epcot’s Mission Space Closing for the Summer

It has been announced that Epcot’s Mission Space Attraction will be closing on June 5th for a refurbishment.  The ride is expected to reopen on August 1. No reason or details have been given for the refurb, but rumors are circulating that there are some minor tech updates to be done so that the ride would be prepared for a major change to a “Guardians of the Galaxy” ride.

Disney releases adult coloring app “Color by Disney”

Taking a cue from the adult coloring book craze, Disney has launched a mobile app, Color by Disney, which allows users to color in templates featuring Disney characters or scenes from their movies. The app currently has hundreds of designs available for coloring. The app is being marketed toward adults, as coloring has been thought to reduce stress.
