Most Overrated Disney World Rides

Disney is without a doubt the happiest place on Earth, but not all rides live up to their popularity. Certain rides have cult followings, but they’re not always worth an hour long wait. Below is a list of what I believe to be the most overrated rides in Disney World.     1. Peter Pan’s Flight (Magic Kingdom – Fantasyland) The story of Peter Pan is imaginative and magical, so it makes sense that Disney would take advantage of this movie and make a ride out of it. The concept…

Best Places to Eat In Disney World If You’re Lactose Intolerant

There have been rumblings over a rumored plan to allow certain guests to acquire extra FastPass+ Services. Disney Construction Everywhere

Hello All.  It has been quite a while since I have been able to post to the blog.  Family and work issues have constricted my time, but in no way has it caused me to forget everyone that reads it. A lot of changes have been mentioned and quite a bit of construction is underway throughout the Disney World Resort Area, including the HORRIBLE road construction going on, well, EVERYWHERE! We have said goodbye to “Ellen’s Energy Adventure” and the “Great Movie Ride” (see previous story) to make room for…

Disney Closing Loophole in FastPass+ System

With every technology there are holes and backdoors that dishonest people try to take advantage of.  Disney’s FastPass+ app is no exception.  Disney has discovered that it is had been possible to book rides through the FastPass+ using an unused ticket or Magic Band. To most, this does not seem like a big deal, but to those that have gone to the Magic Kingdom and have waited 90 minutes or longer for the Seven Dwarfs Mine rollercoaster because you were unable to secure a Fastpass using your Magic Band and…

Great Movie Ride Closing???

Hollywood Studios - The Great Movie Ride

Rumors are swirling that the Great Movie Ride which is inside of Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Disney’s Hollywood Studios could be closing in the very near future. The Great Movie Ride is a dark tram ride that takes you through many scenes of Hollywood movie history that include “Wizard of Oz”, “Alien” and “Indiana Jones”.  The ride is currently licensed through Turner Classic Movies (TCM). Disney is currently moving away from licensing rides through 3rd party companies and instead using Disney intellectual property, i.e. changing Tower of Terror (which was…

Where is Paint the Night Going?

“Paint the Night”, which was the former nighttime parade at Disneyland in California before the “Main Street Electrical Parade” was brought back to California after a short stint in the Magic Kingdom in Florida, has been packed up and is ready to be shipped to another park, but where? “Paint the Night” is a brightly colored, highly musical, parade that had been featured at Disneyland in California for roughly the past two years. Magic Kingdom would be the most logical choice seeing that they currently do not have a nighttime…

Disney Raises Theme Park Admission Prices Again

Almost exactly one year ago, Universal Studios bumped up theme park prices a few bucks, resulting in children’s one-day admissions hitting the $100 mark for the first time. Disney followed suit by increasing park prices a couple weeks later in February—one year after the previous previous price hike was added, like clockwork. Disney has beaten Universal Studios to the punch in 2017 by quietly increasing prices on Sunday. In most cases, one-day adult tickets are now $5 more expensive. Disney parks use a variable-pricing scheme, in which admissions to EPCOT,…

Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is hands down one of the best attractions at Walt Disney World. At the end of Sunset Boulevard looms the imposing Hollywood Tower Hotel. It’s 13 stories high (naturally) and is home to the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Unless you get here right when the park opens, you can expect to wait. Your best bet is to grab a FastPass. (Get it as early as you can as they will use up the daily allotment on busier days.)  The Hollywood Tower Hotel has been “deserted” and…
