    For weeks, nay, months, the Disney community had been bracing itself for the worst. The virtual queue, once the bane of existence for those seeking to experience these two beloved attractions, had been abolished. And with it, the floodgates of chaos and destruction were expected to open wide.

    But, dear reader, the apocalypse that was foretold did not come to pass. Instead, something far more shocking occurred: the wait times were… reasonable.

    Yes, you heard that correctly. Reasonable. As in, not-entirely- soul-crushing. Not-likely-to-make-you-want-to-pull-your-hair-out-in-frustration.

    • 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Submarine Voyage: Remember those giant, yellow submarines? This underwater adventure was a deep dive (pun intended!) into Jules Verne’s classic. Guests boarded these subs and peered through portholes at animatronic sea creatures and underwater landscapes. It was slow, it was cramped, but it was undeniably iconic. Sadly, due to maintenance issues and the sheer scale of the operation, the subs eventually sailed off into the sunset (or, more accurately, were scrapped). What replaced it? A little mermaid… more on that later.
    • Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride: This chaotic dark ride was a whimsical (and slightly terrifying) journey through the story of The Wind in the Willows.
