  • Genie+ Sells Out Quickly

Disney’s Genie+ has sold out for the fourth day in a row during this Easter week. At a record high of $35/person it has been selling out just after 9:00am each day.

Unlike the former FastPass+, where you were able to choose your rides months in advance (and it was free), Genie+ can only be purchased on the day of your visit. This, along with those visitors that are trying to reserve virtual queue spots on both Guardians of the Galaxy and Tron are putting a strain on the Disney servers during early morning hours, making it difficult for some to gain access for reservations.

  • Disney Changes Genie+ Purchase Options

Beginning June 8, 2022 visitors of Disney World will no longer be able to purchase the Genie+ option in advance. Disney announced that as of that date, all Genie+ purchases must be on the day of the guest’s park reservation and visit. Here is the official announcement from Disney:

With the launch of new bookings, we will also make an adjustment to how guests purchase Disney Genie+ service, which remains popular and in high demand amongst our guests. From the beginning, our goal has been to launch, learn and evolve as we see how guests are using this service.

Starting June 8, Disney Genie+ will only be offered for purchase through the My Disney Experience app on the day of your visit – we will no longer offer the option to purchase this service pre-arrival as a ticket add-on for dates remaining in 2022 and in 2023.

Those that have already purchased and added the Genie+ option for after June 8th will still be able to use their option.
